What's new for 2026? 

• We've added more money and have belt buckles for first place! In 2025, we had 316 entries and had over $81,000 awarded in payouts and prizes. 
• We have a saddle for the winner of the Non Pro Bridle Spectacular class! Standlee Premium Products has returned this year as a MVRCHA sponsor for a custom Ruelas saddle!
• We have a complete bridle set for the winners of the Open Bridle and Non Pro Boxing Spectacular classes this year! Yep! You read that right, complete set! The reins, the bit, and the amazing championship headstall could all be yours. Huge thank you to RC Bean and Tom Balding Bits for their sponsorships. 
• A Shellie's Western Creation purse, handmade and donated by Shellie Griffin, will go to our high point ladies Non-Pro boxing score. Let us tell you, this purse if FAAAAABULOUS! Take a look at it when your checking in at our show office.
• Champion Memorial Spurs - In honor of Harry's lifelong dedication and lasting contributions to MVRCHA, we will have Harry DeHaan Memorial Champion Spurs. These will be awarded to a TBD class Champion who will receive a gift certificate to Tom Balding for custom made spurs. These spurs will recognize excellence in the arena while preserving Harry's legacy for generations to come. 
• Boxing classes are still merged!  Our show is in the middle of summer... outside... in 100+ degree weather.  We feel we need to be looking out for our competitors and their unicorns. Again this year, we will have all the Non Pro Boxing classes show concurrently (LAE not included). What does this mean? It means that while at other shows you normally would show your horse more than once, you will not be able to at ours this year. 
• Short Stirrup class! Who didn't enjoy watching the kids show their horses last year?  Well we moved it to a different day this year. We decided it's time to let those kids have the whole arena to show off (plus, this will make room to feed the judge. No one like a hangry judge) This spectator favorite class has some super special awards for all kids 10 & younger* who enter. (*cannot be entered in any other MVRCHA competitive class, yes... we had to add this part)
• Dog races! It seems just about everyone brings their dog to a horse show (but never a horse to a dog show), so why not have them win something too? We will have our annual dog races Saturday afternoon, immediately after the saddle presentation. Depending on the entries, we may have up to 4 races!. Winston's Hearty Bites has graciously donated their homemade dog treats for our winners. 
• We will have a catered taco bar dinner Saturday night with a live blue grass band, featuring Heather Tiel-Nelson, in the RV parking area. This will be hosted by MVRCHA. Donations are accepted. 
• More fun Saturday night! What goes great with dinner? Giveaways? Heard a rumor that might happen. How about a large water slide? This adult size water slide will be set up in the RV area. This was made possible by Rockin' Horse Photography.
